When I was in high school, my family faced a lot of financial difficulties.
There would be times when I would lay wide awake a night wondering if we would lose our house and be forced to move.
I felt like I had absolutely no control over my financial future.
And that’s the reason why I worked extremely hard to get into one of the top business schools in Canada, The Ivey Business School at Western University.
After graduating in 2019, I landed a job at one of the Big 4 Accounting firms and I successfully passed the Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) examination.
Today, I can finally say that I can effectively manage my own finances… but this was NOT FAIR!
I spent 4+ years and at least $100,000 to learn about personal finance, and I know that there are people who just can’t afford this type of tuition.
In Canada, financial literacy is not taught AND quality financial education it is not easily accessible!
